Marc, The Casamayor/Santa Cruz decision was one of the worst I can think of in recent memory. Steve Forbes/Demetrius Hopkins comes to mind. Arnaoutis/Torres was pretty bad...Collazo/Hatton was unpopular, but certainly was not on the level of the decisions previously mentioned, because truthfully, that was a tough fight to score. Lots of rounds could have gone either way. And just because Collazo, in the last three rounds beat Hatton worse than Hatton beat him in the previous nine, does not mean he deserved the decision. A boxing match is scored by rounds, plain and simple. Which brings us back to Casamayor/Cruz. If there is not a tangible or apparent flow of action or momentum, the rounds MUST go to the fighter of the two landing the cleaner shots. Even if these clean punches can be counted on one hand, I do not feel it matters, especially when the other man is doing worse! It was a robbery, and that is too bad. ~justin in dc
